It seems like the "true Oiler fans" (re: bandwagonners who probably
"support" another team in the regular season like some "Oiler fans" who
jumped on the Flames' wagon in '04) only crawl out from under their rocks
when the team's doing well.

To the Sharks fans: good series and not just because the Oil managed to
win it. Wilson was right to go back to Toskala despite games 4 and 5, and
Vesa showed why the Sharks made him #1 over Nabokov with all those breakaway
stops. The way I see it, the Sharks just need to solidify their defense-
kids like Carle will learn from this experience and only get better. A good
D-man for anchoring a PP would also help, IMO. The only other piece needed
would be someone aside from Michalek who can play setup man with Marleau.
Of course, they're set on the first line with Thornton/Cheechoo. If Toskala
is going to be the undisputed #1, then perhaps the Sharks can offload
Nabokov's salary to help get the other pieces. Thanks to the Sharks for a
good series and good luck for the next year.

Um, "duh" comes to mind? You want fans to come out when they're playing
crappy?

It's duck hunting season!

Thanks, the Oil was clearly superior.

I agree with everything you say, except if they are able to unload
Nabby, and he allows it, I would think part of the deal would include
the Sharks eating a sizeable piece of his salary. No one is going to
pay him that.

Nabokov isn't THAT bad a keeper- with the right team, he could do fairly
well. There are some teams for whom even a streaky goaltender would be an
upgrade (like the Coyotes or Lightning). I think the Sharks will find a
team willing to pay Nabokov before next year starts.
